POSITION SUMMARY: The Protection Worker is responsible for providing mandated child protection and support services, will adhere to the Child and Family Services Act, the Manitoba Guidelines.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
· Providing mandated child protection and family support services
· Respond to all service/referral’s requests – Intake
· Gather information, Interview, Assessments, Document
· Case Management, Knowledge CFSIS (Child and Family Services System and Intake Module)
· Positive Relationship Building with clients and collaterals.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· B.S.W, Post-Secondary degree in a related field of study/or Child & Family Services Diploma.
· A minimum of (3) three years in experience in the field of Child and Family Services or equivalent services field.
· Intake Module IM knowledge and experience.
· CFSIS Training, Knowledge is required
· Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
· Knowledge of the Manitoba, Child and Family Services Act
· A valid drivers license and access to a vehicle and willing to travel
· Knowledge and respect for the Dakota cultures and traditional philosophies.
