POSITION SUMMARY: The Prevention Supervisor is responsible for oversees and supports Prevention services and programs to ensure the adequate and efficient delivery of the services.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

·         Oversees the day-to-day operation of the team including the supervision of all Prevention Service Workers assigned within the team.

·         Provide supervision and consultation to a team of prevention workers with respect to program/case management and planning.

·         Support the implementation of all agencies administrative, service and personnel policy and procedural requirements within the agency.

·         Oversee and manages service delivery of department

·         Reviews intake referrals to determine if appropriate for Dakota Tiwahe Services

·         Provides regular mentoring, supervision, and direction on all cases..

·         Ensures quarterly reviews (90) day reviews are completed and placed on file.

·         Provides Prevention program reports and statistics of services to the Executive Director and Prevention Coordinator at the end of every month.

·         Meets with collaterals to explain Dakota Tiwahe Services program and establish working relationships.

·         Ensures all the services provided reflect the values, traditions, and customs of Sioux Valley Dakota Nation.

QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE

·         Education and/or equivalent experience in Social Work

·         3+ years experience in the selected field

·         Good time management and organizational skills

·         Excellent supervisory skills

·         Have a valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle and willing to travel

·         Excellent work record/history

·         Demonstrated knowledge and respect for the Dakota cultures and traditional philosophies

·         Fluency in the Dakota Language an asset
